Ice Maker Repair
The whole water path of a Sub-Zero ice maker: supply line, inlet valve, fill tube, module and drain.
When a Sub-Zero stops making ice, what we usually find is not a dead ice maker. It is the water that should reach it: a shutoff turned part-way, a filter that never locked in, a valve that no longer opens, or a fill tube iced shut. The visit
The visit begins where the water begins. The shutoff and the line behind the unit come first, then the filter, then the inlet valve with a meter on its coil, then the fill tube and the ice maker in the freezer. Most no-ice calls are settled somewhere along that order before anything in the freezer is taken apart.
You get what we found, part by part, and one parts-and-labour figure before any work. A built-in or panel-ready unit that has to come out of its opening is slid out on floor protection and set back in on the same shims, so the doors still line up with the cabinets.

Ice tasted of everything else in the freezer and the cubes were sticking into one lump. A slow drip down the fill tube plus a tired filter, both dealt with in one visit. I did wait most of the afternoon.
